The Foreign Ministry in Almaria Vella continued this week its representations concerning two Almarian correspondents detained abroad, a matter on which the Herald has reported since Wednesday. The chargé d'affaires of the country in question was again summoned, and the Ministry spokesman indicated that "every appropriate channel, public and discreet, remains in use."

The families of the two journalists, who are known to this paper, have requested privacy. The guild has pledged continued advocacy. The Herald will report further developments as they arise, and trusts that the kingdom will spare no proper effort on behalf of two of its own.
