The Interior Secretary's 1.8-million-dinar allocation for registry remediation is now deploying, with the first tranche directed to the identity-verification unit and the second to notification of the roughly fourteen thousand citizens whose records were affected. Director-General Puigdomènech confirmed the figures in a brief statement on Wednesday evening.
The Opposition continues to press for a parliamentary inquiry before the recess. Government whips have held the question to Tuesday, citing the fuel reserve sitting on Monday. The timetable is tight; the political incentive to keep it tight is not disguised.
Citizens seeking to confirm whether their records were among those affected may apply at the Registry's Sant Joan office or by post to the address carried in the notices now in circulation.
