The Primate will name the Estrella's eleven alongside the correspondents, and has not repeated his request that the Subcommittee sit before Monday.

Cardenal Esteban Marín will read the names of the eleven crew of the merchant vessel Estrella de Vella, together with the three missing correspondents, at the Sunday intercessions in Sant Joan. The pastoral letter 'Patience of the Sea' will be distributed at the doors. It is the Cardenal's second such reading this month.
In an op-ed circulated yesterday, the Primate wrote of the moments in the life of a nation when the sea itself becomes the instrument of a fuller reckoning. The piece, characteristically, named no minister and proposed no policy. Those who have read it twice describe a text composed for a congregation first and a chancery second.
The Cardenal's request to the Chamber for a Maritime Safety Subcommittee to sit before Monday's fuel vote remains, as of last evening, acknowledged but unscheduled. He has not repeated the request.
